ESIS Experience and Expertise

Founded in 1953, ESIS was the first company to handle workers compensation claims on a third party basis. Originally a member of The Pacific Employers Group, ESIS became part of INA in the 1960s and then CIGNA as the result of a merger between Connecticut General and INA in 1982. On July 1, 1999, ESIS became part of the ACE Group of Companies.

ESIS employs more than 1,500 professionals in nine regional centers and 15 major claims offices, as well as local representatives in select jurisdictions. We take our fiduciary responsibilities seriously and are proud to manage over $2.5 billion of customer losses and over 320,000 new claims annually. We specialize in large accounts which have multi-state operations.
