Online training with ISA e-Learning delivers immediate savings when compared to traditional training methods. Read the following risk management and employee benefits savings scenarios to learn more.

Risk Management Savings Scenario. As part of its proactive risk management program, The Company decides to mandate ergonomic training for all 1500 employees to ensure that all employees have a broad understanding of office ergonomics issues and guidelines. Human Resources researches two options: traditional training or online learning. HR discovers that sending 1500 employees to ergonomic seminars is an expensive proposition. Per employee, HR identified the following costs:

Round Trip Airfare $250
Ground Transportation $060
Hotel $200
Meals $100
Seminar Fee $300
Total per Employee $910

In this instance, traditional training for 1500 employees would cost $1,365,000.

In an effort to reduce travel expenses, The Company investigates hiring an ergonomic specialist to hold seminars at each of its six locations nationwide. This strategy would preclude the need for employees to travel, but still incurred the following expenses:

Ergonomic Trainer Fee $2,500/location
Trainer Travel Expenses $1,000/location
Seminar Room Rental $600/location
Total Per Location $4,100/location

In this instance, providing training at six locations would cost $24,600 plus a one-time materials fee of $3000 for a total of $27,600. The Company had several concerns: would employees turn out for training? Would employees actually learn in an environment with several hundred other employees? How would they identify at-risk employees?

The Company then investigated online training with Syntrio. It learned that delivering ergonomic training via the Web to 1500 employees cost about $14,000. Further, the learning management system allowed The Company to track each employee’s attendance, progress and identify at-risk employees. Employees would be able to learn at their own pace and repeat the training as often as needed, at no additional costs to The Company.

Employee Benefits Savings Scenario. As part of its successful employee benefits program, an ESIS client wanted to offer business skills and employment law courses to its employees. Already aware of the benefits of e-learning and the associated cost savings, the ESIS client turned to The International Safety Academy e-Learning to deliver a wide selection of courses.

After reviewing titles such as 1 to 1: Customer Service Success, Negotiation: Your Road to Success, and Understanding Sexual Harassment (A Guide for Employees), The Company began investigating pricing options. They learned that through International Safety Academy e-Learning, Syntrio offered preferred pricing to all ESIS clients, including a free learning management system that enabled the tracking and reporting of all employee training. Further, International Safety Academy e-Learning offered the third course purchased FREE.
